Statuses will not save by leujohn on 02-23-2010 at 11:50 AM
After installing Messenger Plus! Live and some scripts, my statuses will not save if I do it by clicking the pm box and changing the text. System details as follows:
Using Windows Live Messenger build 14.0.8089.726
Using Messenger Plus! Live version 4.83.0.376
Operating System: Windows XP SP2

Do you mean that your PSM won't save?
What scripts do you have running?
Send (!SVER) in a conversation and copy & paste the result here.
You should also install XP SP3

Sorry I'm on Chinese. The top part is the activated ones and the bottom part are the deactivated ones. Also, I have several pieces of software on my computer that will crash with SP3, so that is not an option.

If you disable Name Editor, do your personal messages stay there?

The reason why some programs might crash if you install SP3 is not because SP3 contains bugs, but actually because those programs were programmed in a bad way. There is a lot of literature about that on the net.

What software is it though? There might be updates or alternatives that we can recommend.
If you're using your computer for work then it's even more reason for it to be fully up to date and protected
