Hey,

At the moment we have to make a post if we want to enable email notifications.

Many forums have a 'Watch' button and I think it'd be useful to have one here too.

I noticed after I made a thread I had to go back and edit it in order to enable the notifications.

It'd be useful for users who don't wish to post, but would like to be notified of replies.

And of course those who wish to enable notifications without having to edit your post.

So a button next to 'Post Reply' button OR rather than a checkbox when making a post, a button.

Edit: Just noticed at the very bottom there's some small links for thread tools, one of which is 'subscribe'.

(I've been here nearly 6 years and wasn't aware of it until I looked for it )

In which case I stick by my suggestion of the button as it'd be more visible.

I don't think it particularly needs a button as all of the "Thread Tools" in this forum are down in that one corner

I don't think a button would help anything really....not to mention there'd be no logical place for it to go and it wouldn't be in keeping with the style of the forum as there are no dropdown buttons like that
