Windows Live (msn) >_< help needed grrr by Alexfire on 02-27-2010 at 04:54 PM

Right I've tried emailing tech support 3 times but I haven't received any kind of help from them. So I'm hoping you guys will be able to shed some support in fixing my windows live client (msn)

I'm running windows XP
MSN version 2009 (build 14.0.8089.726)
Firefox 3.6 is my main browser but i also have explorer 8.

ok everything was fine until MSN made me upgrade to the above version. But now every time someone sends me a website link in a chat window it crashes if I click it.

It also crashes if I try to change photos by browsing in my folder to change them and if I click certain things like the activities button in the chat window.

Again it crashes if i click the pop up email notification window

I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it twice and repairing. nothing has worked.

Please help

Ok, I would advise to completely remove messenger folowing these steps, and after that reïnstall.

Is this a different method? because i've already uninstalled/re-installed twice and that didn't fix it? I've also tried to repair it

Yes, it is a different method, this method deletes all the old settings / files that remain on your computer after a normal uninstall... Some of those can still be there and cause this problem...

You need to save the text file as a .reg file to be able to execute it...
