Messenger Plus! will never be open source. Not now that a company has spent a lot of money purchasing the company (Yuna Software which was the owner of Messenger Plus!) from Patchou.

wouldnt be good to have it open source anyway... it would just become like linux where there are so many different distributions its not funny...

Definitely don't think it's a good idea and glad to see Patchou sticking by his guns (Y)

And as Matty said, with the program having just been bought it definitely won't happen

Besides the fact that Plus! has never been open source, the fact that matty has said is true.

The only moment that Plus! would become open source is when Patchou loses intrest in Plus! or Plus! simply cannot have more features/Windows Live Messenger has all the features that Plus! has.

Doesn't matter if Patchou loses interest, he doesn't own it anymore..
