Hi, a couple of weeks/months ago the Norwegian version of the Messenger Plus! Live site stopped working.

This isn't really a big problem, if it hadn't been for the fact that when you select the Norwegian translation on the main site, you are redirected to the Norwegian version, which doesn't actually work. The good thing is that the domain isn't actually snatched up by any other people and that if it's not in your interest to have that domain, you would just make the language drop-down menu redirect to the same domain, as it changes the language cookie before redirecting.

Although you know that. :p

tl;dr: msgpluslive.no is not registered anymore, people can't get the Norwegian translation of the site.

On a side note, msgpluslive.com.br is also down
The menu redirects to .com.pt correctly, though.

In either of these cases the registrar would have a) have a Norwegian mail address and b) own a company registered in brreg, plus some other rules and thingys.

For me to do that I'd have to use a Norwegian company's org. ID and I can't be arsed to sneak it onto a business unrelated to it.

I'd have to register my own personal business, and that dear Watson, requires money. :p

It's still possible for non-Norwegians to register .no domains through a third party: http://www.nethut.no/english.php. But yes, Yuna should take care of it. There have been more localized domains dropping :(. I guess there are big international registrars which can handle most cTLDs under one account where they take care of third parties for you (at a price, http://www.europeregistry.com/domains/domains-search.htm / http://www.marcaria.com/register/countrypricesdom.asp?cont=all). Yuna should transfer all their international domains to one of those and pay the bills :p.

Oh god, the price.

EDIT: To add to my reply, if money isn't a problem then by all means go for it. It could easily get a little bit messy if every "local" site is being managed by a different person and if these start to drop out without letting someone know and deal with it, you get a lovely mess.

thanks for reporting this problem. I've changed the web site code to stop referring to "msgpluslive.no". If somebody can get the domain back, I'll be happy to reimburse him. Several domains, such as this one, were not transferable to our main registrar which caused those annoying issues. From now on, no domain name will be used if we don't control it internally.
