Auto-Away error by thunde12 on 06-25-2010 at 05:39 PM

hi...i'm using windows live messenger 14.0.8117.416 and plus! 4.84.0.384

i think when i'm using plus software my windows live messenger didn't want to auto away while i'm leaving my computer on.
I have try to reinstall them all but it seems my windows live messenger issues didn't solve at all

Can all of you help me to solve this issue???

Do you have any Messenger Plus! Live Scripts installed?

If you uninstall Messenger Plus! Live, does Windows Live Messenger automatically set you away after the time period you set?

No..i don't have any script installed on it..i'm just changing my skin into snow leopard skin..

If i uninstall Plus! my windows live messenger also didn't want to turn into away in "X" minutes.

Then it's not a Messenger Plus! Live problem.

There must be something else running on your computer which is preventing it going into idle.....like a DVD player program, or something?

i think there's sth wrong with my windows live messenger or my plus!.
because i'm also using yahoo messenger that i also set auto idle for the same time.

I have tested two of them.
but it seems my windows live messenger didn't want to idle at all.
and my yahoo messenger can automatically idle

It's a problem with WLM, not Plus! - as you confirmed by uninstalling Plus! and the problem continuing...

Try setting a screensaver as well?

The problem can be caused by wireless keyboards or mice, do you have one?

If not, check which software you have running - apparently iTunes can cause it to not change to idle.

Thanks to Chris4.
I have fixed my issues with upgrading my windows live messenger to beta version v 15.3.2804.607 but plus! didn't compatible with it..

I also have the problem of my status not being automatically set to idle. My status doesn't change to idle when I lock the computer and it changes to busy if I leave it unlocked and the screensaver comes on. I'm using Windows Live Messenger 14.0.8117.416 and Plus! 4.85.0.386. Is there any solution yet?
