Removing MSG plus search engine from Firefox by V1N3 on 07-15-2010 at 03:28 PM

Hi!

I just updated MSG plus, and now as I search stuff by just typing to Firefox's sitebar I just get this MSGplus-"search engine" screen, instead of Google.
How can I make it so, that it's Google, like before?

If you click on the arrow in the search box (the arrow is to the right of the icon) it will give you a list of search engins.

I mean, when i write in the ADDRESSbar the search comes up like this:
http://search.conduit.com/ResultsExt.aspx?ctid=CT2124320&q=ismo
but I would like it to go to regular google site, like:
http://www.google.fi/search?source=ig&hl=fi&rlz=1...&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

In the address bar of firefox type in about:config
Enter the configuration (if it gives you a warning)
Search for keyword.URL
Alter the string to read
http://www.google.fi/search?source=ig&hl=fi&rlz=1G1GGLQ_FIFI260&=&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&q=

Actually, it seems like the default value there is http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&so...avclient&gfns=1&q=  , but thx, couldn't have found it myself (:

Other than that it appears that you installed the Messenger Plus! Live Sponsor application. In your Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features in Windows Vista and higher) if you chose to uninstall Messenger Plus! Live you will be asked to uninstall Plus! or just the sponsor. Choose to uninstall the sponsor.
