Help please by HiImTlp on 10-27-2010 at 08:03 PM

Hello, I had a Windows 7 update of "Windows Live 2011" I accidently UN-ticked but it re-ticked it. And I didn't want 2011. I was wondering, if anyone could help me get the 2010 link?

I deleted "Windows Live" and tried re-installing the windows 2010 Windows Live, but it says I already have Windows Live in my computer. But I deleted it from My C:/Drive and uninstall programs. And it stills gives me that error. May someone help, I'll be truly grateful.

Firstly this is in the wrong forum. Your question is not related to Messenger Plus!. This should be in the Tech Talk section.

Secondly in the Windows Update screen just click Restore Hidden Updates if you want 2011. There was no 2010. The previous version was 2009. You will need to download a program called ZapMessenger.

Regardless of which version you want to install you are going to need to first use ZapMessenger to clean up the mess of the old installation. Never delete a program always use it's uninstaller.

A little bit of paitence and a little bit of searching will go along way.
Windows Live Messenger 2009

Zapmanger, didn't remove the file "Windows Live" I ran it, and it finished.

Then I downloaded - http://server1.fiberdownload.com/11_kituri/wlsetup-custom.exe

And it says.. I already got a version of Windows Live

Please don't double post this is against the forum rules. Instead use the edit button to make changes to your post.

You can try and do a system restore to before you deleted the files and see if that resolves the issue for you.

I'm sorry, Matty. I wont double post again..

I cannot system restore, because I been trying this for like 3 hours. And I can only restore for 2 hours

What's wldlog.dll ?

It says It's removed from my computer? How do I re-install this
Hi, whenever I try to run msn it says wldlog.dll has been delted?

How would I re-install or fix this

RE: problem by matty on 10-28-2010 at 01:38 AM

Reinstall it? Do you ever google anything? Just curious...

The DLL is for Windows Live Desktop.

Here is the DLL installed by WLM English 2009... it goes in C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger and C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Contacts
