hi,

is there a workaround for 2011 for msg plus? Until it's supported for for 2011 if that makes any sense at all.

Yes, by the means of disabling the safe mode in Plus! 4.9

See: Plus 4.9 on WLM 2011. Which features work and which ones don't

How can we disable safe mode without any reference of Plus on WLM? eg. no menu option at all.

Hello Peter,

  1. Open the Messenger main window.
  2. Press the [Alt] key on your keyboard.
  3. You will find a Plus! menu at the right end of the appearing menu bar.
  4. Click it.
  5. Now pick Software Not Loaded....
  6. This brings up a dialog.
  7. Check the Disable Safe Mode check box, and confirm.
  8. Restart Messenger.
Does this work for you?

As I said, that menu doesn't exist.

You should run the Messenger Plus! 4.9 setup first...

I have a million times, still not there......

Same thing here. I've run the setup process six billion times and I still don't get a Plus! menu.

That is odd. I suppose we should start locating the problem...
What Operating system do you use? (And version)
What exact version of Windows Live Messenger do you use?
Did you download the latest version of Messenger Plus! ?
Did you try to restart Windows Live Messenger after installing?
Did you try to install Messenger Plus! with any anti-virus and Firewall's disabled?
Do you use multiple hard drives?
