I am running WLM 2009 and I have downloaded and installed MP 5...(which said my installation was successful when it was finished)...but when I click on the Plus menu in WLM it says that the "software is not loaded".  I have also noticed that, although I checked the box to have MP 5 remove any old version of MP....my old MP 460 is still on my computer.  Unfortunately....MP 5 did replace the uninstall appliction so if I open it it tries to remove MP 5 not the older version.  What am I doing wrong?



P.S.  Also....when I went to the FAQ page on the MP website to find out what my options were for conacting someone for help I found 2 links...one for this forum and one for "Live Chat" but when I clicked on the "Live Chat" link (I prefer getting more immediate answers to my questions.) I got redirected back to the MP home page.  Does that mean that that option no longer exists?

uninstall Both Versions, reboot PC an reinstall MP5, problem fixed.  cause MP5 is " New" and installs in a different directory and not the same, MP5 wont really remove the old install  untiill you remove it from Add/Remove in control panel

You have removed Messenger Plus! 4.6 through the Control Panel as Alias described?

Try to remove all Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! components from the control Panel completely, then install Windows Live Messenger 2009 or 2011 and finally, the latest Messenger Plus! download.

Which operation system are you running? (Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows7)
