WLM 2011 has built-in tabbed chats, so the function is disabled in plus! 5.

Have you enabled the "tabbed conversations" option in Windows Live Messenger 2011 itself?

Messenger Plus! 5 can currently not change other options for "tabbed conversations."

In WLM 2011, the tabs are controlled by Windows Live Messenger, not by Messenger Plus! and Windows Live Messenger does not have a feature to set the tab positions.

Result : Messenger Plus 5 does not support tab of the Properties msn 2011.

Why ?  :@ , Because it ... i wait for msn plus 5 before DEC 2010..

Very disappointed for This vertion .

Extensions accept it.
Thank you.

To add to this discussion, I was really disappointed to lose the Vertical Tabs feature of Plus when I upgraded to WLM Essentials 2011.  WLM has no substitute for vertical tabs.

If it's possible for Plus to do its own tabs while WLM 2011 has tabs disabled, then Plus should do so.

Please put this feature in.  I imagine you already have most of it coded.

Edit: When WLM 2011 came out I tried it and then downgraded to a version that would allow me to keep using Plus with vertical tabs.  Today, Microsoft has forced users off the version I was using, upgrading them to 2011.

Same thing happened to me.
I hold on to update to WLM 2011 because vertical tabs were not available.
Now that i've been forced to upgrade, i'm VERY disappointed.

Do you know of another software that would allow me to talk to my MSN contacts with vertical tabs ?

Have you (or any other users) seen anything official from Microsoft saying they are "forcing" people to upgrade to WLM 2011?  Would like to see reference, if you have it handy.

Hello,

no, i haven't seen any communication from Microsoft about that.
but MSN would refuse to connect until i upgraded with the 2011 version - I had a pop up telling me so and i couldn't find a work-around it.

They posted their intentions back in March here and as of June 19 users on Vista and Windows 7 have been required to upgrade before they can sign in.
