Can't find background changer option by zikzak on 03-18-2011 at 11:47 AM

Hi there,

I installed the background changer script - and it shows in installed scripts - but I can't find where to start it up? I'm hitting the Plus! drop down menu in the main contacts window - but nothing shows up? Where should I look? :)

Scripts do not add their items in the Plus! menu.

This said, the background changer script only has one menu, and that can be found, like all other scripts, in the Scripts menu icon (= 3 stacked blocks).

But note that it is only usefull on Windows Live Messenger 2009.

Ahh ok, thanks :) I'm using 2011 that's why...

Ah, ok...

Although, even in WLM 2011 you should still see the Background Changer script item in the scripts menu icon though. It is just that the old method of providing a background for the contactlist, which the Background Changer script uses, isn't used anymore by WLM 2011.

Ok, thanks :-) Is there a way to do it?

Not with the Background Changer script.

But there is another script which provides a different method of setting the background which does work on WLM 2011:
(coded in a bit of an ugly way and with code copied from other scripts though)
Before making a request (Create your own skin the really easy way)
