Uncheck the box "Remember my password" in the login screen.

eg: in Windows Live Messenger 2009:

Dutch example though, I don't have English version installed at the moment.

I suspect this is roughly the same for Windows Live Messenger 2011.

@Cookie:
It's not like that in WLM 2011, they are combined into one checkbox.

It doesn't seem possible.

Blah... could probably be done via the registry then....

Hi closser,

There is no simple option to achieve what you want, though you may want to check out the answer given on answers.com.. It's not ideal and it's not really a very trustworthy source, so use it at your own risk.

Another alternative is to revert back to Windows Live Messenger 2009.

This seems to be a feature that Messenger Plus! might be used for. You could attempt to write it in as a "Feature suggestion." However there is but a small chance that it will be implemented in a future update and it may take months for it to appear if at all.

The first link on that page doesn't work and the second link should not be used at all as it is extremely unreliable and the possebility for a virus is high. Evenso, there is no need at all to download Windows Live Messenger 2009 from dodgy 3rd party sites as it is still very much available on the official website: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-Messenger-XP

Could it be done by deleting a certain registry key? I don't know the specifics of how it's stored in 2011. It could be scripted quite easily I think

Hmmm, I found that "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\IdentityCRL\UserExtendedProperties" seems to change when you remove your details so I'm looking into it now... Might not be able to do it though
