No know if this is possible.
But, would very good add in Messeger Plus! the option from Change Display Name in WML 2011, that not has in WML 2011.
This makes lak.

Try Plus!->Preferences & options->Appearance->Contact List -> Name to display for contacts: Show contacts with their nickname.

I think the OP wants to change his name from his Live Profile name to something else. That isn't possible as it is the way WLM 2011 works.

Oh I see what he means, it is actually possible to change it using the /nick command.
