It seems that MsgPlus can't connect to its account it need to pass through a proxy.
As I am getting this error while I am behind a proxy.

Plus! uses SSL... does your proxy support SSL?

It should support SSL as I am able to access https://www.msgplus.net when I was behind the proxy

Are you getting any specific error message? Have you tried another proxy?

I am behind a Corp Proxy (i.e. no other choice)
Error Msg: Something about server error.
How to look for specific error code as the description is so general

Hi ArShui,
We may not be able to solve this for you as it is most likely the proxy server settings at your company. Which of course we can not help with/fix, you need to contact the helpdesk of your company for that.
If you want us to look into it further we need to know which OS you are on, the exact Messenger version and exact Plus! version (yep we need the full number for both) and at least a screen shot of the error too (really as much info as you can possibly give us). And even then it's highly likely that we can only point you in the direction of where things are set wrong on the corp server....
I personally feel your best bet is to contact the helpdesk of your job as they know exactly how their proxy is set etc etc.
