hi

i just have been receiving  these "server not found errors'  all the time .
what does this mean? :)

my dsl/isp  provider is also  having problems .

Can any body open this site and tell me whether these   sites r running?

for example  "duxsoftware.com" . is this site still online ?( i just purchased software from them) but its not opening now.

i will be greatfull to know about this.

I'm receiving server not found (i.e. name could not be resolved) here for duxsoftware.com

i am getting same errors. i  have also done "whois" status check up.

what does this mean?

It means that this (new since Octobre ) domain is currently offline.
And also doesn't currently recieve emails (see your other thread).

According to the WHOIS information you could phone them up though (+40.7554508143), but I guess you'd need to speek Romanian for that...

yes u r right .

i could call them in fact  couple of sites are giving same errors and mail bouncing back  also.

but do this mean the sites are fake?

Not necessarily, although I wouldn't want to rule that completely out either (also seeing that the address in the WHOIS info is Romanian).

It could also mean the site or its host provider is currently offline for maintenance. Or the host provider is having problems (a few weeks ago a big host company here in Belgium had problems too because of a lighting strike into a power station, as a result many sites went offline too for a while). It could mean all sort of things.

"host provider"  of the sites i am trying to open and send mails  are form "Yahoo  server" .(i.e from whois look up)

it might mean  yahoo servers are down .
