WINDOWS LIVE REMOTE ASSISTANCE PROBLEM by Gill_110 on 11-26-2011 at 02:15 PM

Hi

I have a huge problem wiht Windows Live Remote Assistance feature.  I have used Remote Assistance for a few years now with no problems.  Suddenly, although my friend is sending me invitations for remote help, I am not seeing the invitations at all.  I can send my friend invitations which she can see but I can see her invitations.  My friend is using Windows XP and I am using either Windows 7 or Windows Vista.  The remote assistance feature used to work with both machines having different operating systems but not any more

Please can someone advise me as to how I can solve this problem. :)

Has any of the network configuration changed? Is there now a router in place?

If you don't know which one you are using, then why is your friend asking for help, then right click on Computer and click Properties... alternatively you can press the Windows key and the Print Screen key.

There is a modem - BT Broadband.  My friend has the same modem.  Does this help you?
