O.P. Undecided  Video recording doesn't work
I'm using Skype 6.3.0.107 and Messenger Plus! for Skype 1.8.0.125

Immediately after clicking the "Record call" button both encoding window and preview windows appear but no video is recorded at all :S
The folder is created but no there's no video in it.
I'm using multiple (2) monitors if this could help :)

Hope this bug will be fixed as soon as possible (it's very annoying) (A)

Is this happening for every recording?

Yes but not always. Sometimes it works but sometimes doesn't.
You should also check the video sharing feature because after some time the program stucks and then crash :(

RE: Video recording doesn't work
I don't have the exact same problem but in my case the video file isn't in the specified folder as well. The  folders with the contact name and the subfolder with the month and year are created but there is no video in it.

But to start from the beginning.
I can start the recording or I set the auto-record option and the preview window appears and shows the camvideo right. Then I click the stop button or the call stops and Plus! stops the recording and shows the compressing windows. Everything seems right but if I then click the button that should show the record folder Plus! doesn't open the right folder and even if I navigate myself I can't find the video. The same goes with audio calls.

I searched for the SkypePlus Temp-Folder and found out that Plus! is actually recording the video in .wmv and the audio streams as .wav. When I stop the recording I can see a Finalvideo.avi file for a split second but it is not moved anywhere where I can find it, maybe it's just deleted??

Skype Version 6.6.0.106
Plus! Version 2.0.0.150 (22.06.2013)
Windows 8 Pro with Media Center (Version 6.2 Build 9200)

I hope the issue can be solved.

I have had the same problem twice, is there a temporary file that I can restore to a video somewhere? Cant find it in the temporary folder.
