O.P. Wink  Importing my old custom sounds
Hello!
First I really want to thank you for the custom sound support update!!
I saved all my old MSN Sounds (nearly 800) as .plp file.
Is there a way to import them into Skype ?

best regards
Jenny ;)

EDIT: I also need to know,
can I add my own new sounds?

RE: Importing my old custom sounds
Short answer: no.

long answer: There are a large number of features that have never been implemented in plus for skype, this being one of them. With the current state of the program and the developers, it's not likely that you will ever see this added again.

I cannot hear you. There is a banana in my ear.

Short answer: no is correct.

Longer answer:

If you uploaded your sounds on the server in the past, you may find them in random sounds (but you won't be able to search for them).

This is a feature on the wish list for development and we will let you know if it will be able to be possible in future versions.  It's not yet possible in Version 1.8

Hello, what about this old post ?

http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=99...1022655#pid1022655

You seemed more optimistic back then !

I REALLY hope that you can add this feature, i have exactly 737 sounds at the moment, it obviously took me time to reach this number (as most part of them was made by myself), and it would be a BIG shame to lose all of them !

Thank you. :)

For now, don't uninstall Messenger Plus! until you get this export/import feature from WLM to Skype.

If you uninstall Messenger Plus! for WLM, you lose your custom sounds and they cannot be imported by the next version of Messenger Plus! (for Skype).

Hey, guys.
I'm using/testing this Plus version: 2.0.0.150

1) YOU CAN IMPORT your old sound pack (plp file)
Go to the "Sound Library" (button available only in the classic menu)
The process is almost the same as in MSN, except...

2) Except after importing you HAVE TO EDIT them, one by one [evil laugh (6)], pressing the button "UPDATE SERVER" - otherwise your contact will not listen the sound ^^
(I see this as a bug, once the software could do that automatically - just like in the MSN: update server when you try to send the sound...)

^o)

To be honest I didn't need to do that, I simply imported my old sounds library and the sounds worked immediately, straight away... my contact was able to receive and listen them perfectly... strange.
