I have a Private Folder on my PC. Today I went to open it and for some reason there is no password. All the text files that I had saved appear similar to this:

With text like that, you get the idea.

Does that mean that it's been corrupted? Is there any way to get it back?

Maybe the program you used to make the folder private is broken. The files still exist encrypted, but because the program isn't working, it's not asking for a password and decrypting them for you. If this is the case, then with the program fixed, the same files should be able to be decrypted to how they should be.

I didn't realised they was encrypted, I just thought they was corrupted. I'm using Microsoft Private Folder 1.0 .. I moved the files from the private folder to my desktop. Then I was looking round and noticed a "Import Encrypted Files" option. So I imported them all.. and they work
