O.P. Force Messenger chat logs to save/update during conversation

How can I make Messenger save chat logs instantly or periodically? It seems to only do it when I close a conversation.

This means that whenever there is an error, no logs are saved at all, but I want my logs for conversations that I keep open to be saved.
