I haven't heard much talk about this but the past few days I have had the hardest time trying to get to the site and post. No server load messages just pure slowness. Its not my connection from what I can see.

These are the users online.
(28 members, 0 invisible users, and 293 guests)

Side note, I can't even ping shoutbox.menthix.net - request timed out.

Anyone else expierencing this?

Yup. Many "The maximum server load limit has been reached" messages and slowness here too

Yes this has happend to me a couple of times I thought it was just my Internet connection but if it's happening to you....... Are you using firefox 1.0 as I was?

Yeah, its happening to me a lot, something to do with the server??? ... Probably.... Its getting quite annoying to be honest, isn't the new server set up yet

Only happens in the evening (GMT).
Is it because of all those Yanks coming online?

I experienced the server load limits also. And the forums are indeed slow as hell for days now (even weeks, no kidding).

What I don't get is that although the static page is up and running, there are still hundreds of guest logged in constantly. (which is probably why the forums are so slow)

I keep an eye on the server load as I can (ussually all day just not the evening) and it's ussually arround 1.3-2.0, The cut off is either 3 or 5, I cant remember.

Matty, the reason you cant ping it is because of the firewall running on the server, it ignores ICMP requests (such as echos, aka, pings).

I'm trying to figure out a way to move my server to a faster system but it's taking forever. Were getting a new server from C2media soon though! So it will be MUCH faster then!
