Nothing special in MSN MEss. installation... just install it and then you'll have both, working fine. The compatibility issue was when using Mp2 Alpha, now Patchou is working on another workaround of the problem.

If someone knows the best path to follow, please....

For some reason, my post didn't come out...
What I meant to say is...

According to Microsoft, you must keep Windows Messenger installed to use the Windows XP features in MSN 5 such as Whiteboard and Video Confrenceing

This probably belongs in the MP2 Support Board, but I'll reply here cos this is where it is.

Why would you want MSN 5 and 4.6 running at the same time? I can understand using some form of polygamy prog to open more than one copy of MSN 5 or MSN 4.6 but there doesn't seem to be a reason for having both loaded similtaneously...

I don't see why it should favour one version over another, but I havn't got a clue!! :p

I don't think you can have both... MSN 5 replaces MSN 4.6 Its the same program that just overwrites the other like an update. And besides, what would you need them both for? Its just a waste of memory.

I don't recommend uninstalling Windows Messenger. It doesn't really interfere anyways, its just a pile of files and registry keys that are used to allow the Windows XP features in MSN5...

Its probably more futile to uninstall it rather than to just leave it there.

Also, not everyone here reads French :D

Correction Made :)
