How does the xbox know if the cd is origanal or not?

there are certain marks on the DVD that you cannot make with a DVD-writer, and it checks for those. I *think*

so i cant copy a music cd to my xbox unless its origanal if i dont have a dvd burner

o rite, your talking about copied CDs, basically some CD drives can read CD-Rs, some can't

its to do with the shiny side of the CD, the fact that it is green/blue. Some of the older xbox's can read them, the newer ones can't

so what can i do about it is there a certain color i need?

Thomson is the worst, Samsung is the best. Check your drive. If it's a Samsung it SHOULD play burnt CDs and DVDs

Actually, for some reason Microsoft switches between them
I think they just buy the drive from whoever offers the lowest price at the time. For example, my bud bought an Xbox with a Thoimson, it was deffective. He brought it back the same day and goy an Xbox with a Samsung
