I loath basketball...too many rules and everybody runs where ever they want, netball is more simple

Guys, when i started this thread i didn't intend for people to start debating on sports and which gender should play what...

Clearly, everyone has different opinions and we should each respect what other people think/do

So can we just drop it now, honestly... :undecided:

Hey too bad... but toddy told you to play a mens game.. well thats the reason why he said that:

quote:
The game Netball, which was known as "Women's Basket Ball" in Australia until as recently as 1970, appears to have been derived from the men's game of basketball which was invented in America in 1871...

in http://www.netball.asn.au/content/index.cfm?id=5

Thats is known as a "women" game.

I never played that game in my life..didnt even know it existed...well..  hurting a finger hurts a lot i know how it is when u receive a basketball the wrong way.. :x

And..football rules (the european one)...

Ok guys, seriously now, can you really drop it?

Sure, more girls play netball than guys, but so what? Just coz he plays a sport that is apparently a girls sport doesn't make him a pretty boy, or any less of a boy.

So just drop it, let him play what he wants to play and leave it at that.

I believe that there are some things that are more preferred to one sex, but really any proper sport I wouldn't say fits into a gender category, and if it does it shouldn't.

Where should I start?
Okay, Manchester United are not the richest club, they made more profit than other teams but in terms of pure capital, Chelsea are the richest, because of Roman's capital worth. Remember how much Chelsea have spent on players recently? Well in excess of 300 million pounds, compared to Man Utd's 30-50 million. Then we assess current standings, Chelsea will win the Premiership this year, without a doubt. Eleven points clear with about 8 games left, thats a LOT of money for winning the Premiership. Chelsea are still in the Champion's League, the FA Cup and the Carling Cup... that's a potential position to earn a lot more money. I see Chelsea making a lot more profit than Man Utd soon.

Stigmata: Ashley Cole is not one of the best players in the Premiership. Nor is Steven Gerrard. The best players in the Premiership? Petr Cech, Arjen Robben, Jermain Defoe, Jose Antonio Reyes, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, Roy Keane, Milan Baros.... Cole is overrated, heavily so, he shouldn't even be playing left back for England.

Then we have netball. It's a girls' sport. It was designed as such. Basketball is the male sport, netball the female sport in the same genre. If girls had any pride they would not want males playing netball, just as any guy with pride does not want females playing football (soccer).
"I bet you didn't know that there is an Australians Netball mens team" I do know this and I still have the opinion that I mentioned above.  As toddy said... play a man's sport.

But, it's just an opinion. Have fun with whatever you love doing.

M.

wayne bridge?

which other full backs (except say gary neville) actually gets up to the strikers and make a difference..?

Chelsea i see as a amazing team.. i mean, they play like a team, as if they were a bunch of friends.. :)

look when the celebrate a goal. every player, is there to celebrate :)

Yeah, Wayne Bridge is stronger at left back than Ashley Cole. Wayne Bridge is a better defensive player than Cole. Put Ashley Cole down the left wing.... that would work much better.

Reyes isn't a striker, his shots don't need power... he's a left winger... and one of the best in the world. Defoe is quick, and a genuine goal scorer, he's young, talented. Inconsistent? Nope, look at how many goals he's scored for Spurs this season...
