broadband upgrade

O.P. broadband upgrade
im using bt broadband.

recently got a letter from them sayin my account is going to be upgraded from 512kbps to 2mbps. are any other companies doing this or has anyone else got a letter like this?

its not a gd thing, u get capped on how much u can donwload a month !!

oh and yes they are lots of other companys doing the same

Most ADSL companies are "upgrading" to about 8MBits a second - part of BT's plan or something.

b4, my bt was 576kbps, 15gb a month, now its 2.2mbps, 15 gb a month :D and the best thing is i live about 100metres from the bt exchange in my area, so i get faster net then others in my town :d

no, thats wrong.

8mbps is just another option that you can choose, but it comes with a cap.

Im getting upgraded to 2mbps.

lol @ limited connections... so that limits you to about 16 hours of downloading at max speed for a whole month?! :P My mothly downloaded/uploaded data usually approaches 30-40 GB even though I'm on a 512 connection... ;)

i have 6.6 mbps but the limit is set to 1.5 gb per month in upload.

my dad has purchased bandwidth packs and now we have 3.75 gb a month... but it still ain't enough.

I'm *hopefully* getting my internet upgraded to 8 mbps, 60 GB a month. Rogers Cable is teh shiznit :)

Our speed stayed the same but our bandwisth cap had been increased from 1gb to 5gb upstream/downstream.... im still struggling not to use it all though
