O.P. 2 Must feature request + 1 nice feature..
I Think about nice feature that im sort the contacts by status or by name..
this feature included in Miranda-IM ..
and there is a good thing if Patchou will make a 'Release Page' wich show us the status of the next release of Messenger Plus!

Sorting by custom name isn't possible due to the way in which the feature works - Messenger automatically sorts by e-mail, and there's no way round it.

Or are you referring to the MsgPlus 'custom names' feature? As raceprouk mentioned, sorting custom names isn't possible.

It'd probably have to be done by MSN themselves. Although, I suppose there is a way you could do it using a plugin - come to think of it, it is possible, if someone wishes to program it.

Personally I don't think it's a good idea, I wouldn't like my contacts moving around every so often as their status changes.

Now that we're talking about it it does sound kinda like a pain... I think I'd use it and get used to it and all that... But at first it'd be kinda weird. |

If Patchou wasn't able to sort them by 'name', I don't think he will be able to sort them by 'status' too.

Actually I don't know... status is completely different then the custom names... Cause the custom names not everybody had a custom name, so they went by email addy didn't they?... with status it would be just like grouping offline contacts together wouldn't it? |
