how can you make a java app and can it be free and no 30 day or day trial :pound:

Huh?
If you make a Java app (God help you), you can decide whether you want it to be free, or run as a 30 day (or any other time period) trial. Google for 'software licenses' for more information.

According to the guide it is Windows XP Compatible, however the platform may perform better on Windows XP service pack 1 and above - I'd visit Windows Update and make sure you have Service Pack 2 installed. (To check go to Start > Control Panel > System and look if it says Service Pack 1 or 2 there) if it does you can follow the guide, if it does not go to Start > Help & Support > Keep your computer upto date with Windows update.
