Ok... For a while Ive been having problems with the msg plus add on.... Its still the best thing out.. But recently ive noticed that theres a flashing with the little icon thats at the top of the messenger window..



Its always annoying that this is flashing.   

Ive got Latest Mess Patch installed. Latest MsgPlus.. and Stuff Plug NG..

Any help would be great guys

Msgplus hooks onto the WM_Paint message fired by messenger. When messenger fires this event, msgplus has to put the logo back onto the window again. if you recieve alot of these messages at once, i guess it would be reasonable to say it would look like its flashing if your computer wasnt super duper.

Interesting. Ive seen it as a problem. Its flashes every 3 seconds. And thats too much flashing for me.. If there was a option to turn it off that would help. But Ive only got a pent 3 @ 800 with 256mb ram. Running over 15 applications. But still. There isint a work around.. Cant be embedded into it so it wouldnt flash?

Im not too sure on the subject since im just a webdesigner. But what can I do if it continues?

Well, if it bothers you that much, you could remove the icon:

Plus! > Preferences > Contact list > under general options, uncheck "enhance the contact list with Messenger Plus! features"

Does that mean when i disable the contact list enhancment that I cant right click peoples names and copy their names to the clipboard?

Is there any way around that. I love the msg plus features when you right click a contact.. but with out the enhancement it wont let me..

Just wondering where abouts i could go about it. I just wish that msn was nice and fast like version 1-5

Just a memory hog. but it might need it for background services to run webcam and activities. Im sure if that you could disable games and stuff that you could make msn run as a smaller program.

No, it simply disables the icon you are talking about Try it and see for yourself
