I noticed that if you are drawing, and you receive a message... your drawings are drawn to the window you received the message in instead of the one you are viewing...
Steps to reproduce:
2 convos, have one focused while drawing, receive a message in the other one.

MSN Messenger 7.5.306

You need to have tabs enabled, than have at least two conversations. If you are drawing something in "handwriting" (of course you have one tab focused) and receive a message in a tab that is not focused you will no longer be able to draw.
I think that is a known bug, that also happens when someone is trying to send you a file. It will show in your active windows, instead of the one where the user is sending you the file.

You should update your Msg Plus to v3.61 , it fixes many bugs about tabs and others.
I Have Windows Xp too, I use Msn Messenger 7.5.0306 and Msg Plus 3.6; but I can't use handright! I simple can't draw !
But if ypu can draw, try to update to Msg Plus 3.61
