Let's see, what am I getting?

ditched by my best friend with no explanation
2 other friends dead in less than 5 days of each other
materialistically?? nothing
and completely blown away more and more by the things read in here

On the up side if there is one to all this:

daughter home for first Cday in 6 years

Sincerely hoping everyone here has a safe holiday, whichever one you celebrate or don't. Just take a minute or two between gifts to enjoy the people around you.

You're 18... and your dad won't LET you. ^o)  You should have that
sort of freedom, at age 18.  I can buy whatever i want.
Shouldn't you have a job or something also?

But essentially i'm already enjoying christmas for getting to spend more time with familly and friends. i think i'm looking foreward to seeing them all, more so than presents and stuff. (although i wish i could carry my music with me :D)

everyones parents are different, no matter ur age. and usually it's easier to toe the line confortably than rebel in vain.

In mexico, minimum driving age is 15. but you need a parent or tutor to  be responsible if you crash, or drive over someone.

RE: what are u getting for Christmas?
I think teenagers shouldnt have cars but its not ebcause they are irresponsible but just because i think they should PAY for it, and to pay for it you need to work and i dont see myself working just yet.. lol
If when a teenager demands his/her parents a car and they get him one, those parents were just successful in teaching their son that life is easy.

Oh, BTW, John lives in India, you live in Canada ( i guess? ) just compare the two countries...

And honestly.. cars are useless you have a very nice public transportation, what do you want more? Get girls because you have a car?
Bah.. if you do get a car because of that just get a life and decent girls...
