If you suspect that it is a virus as Absorbation mentioned, and you are unable find or use your installed anti-virus program, I would suggest trying http://housecall.trendmicro.com. Its an excellent online virus scan, that does a good job of detecting and cleaning most viruses. Its also upto date.

If you go to Start > Help and Support Center > System Restore

You can select "Undo my last restoration" (below)

This should restore your computer to how it was before. :)

Usually, the system restore won't recover any lost files or documents. Its mostly just dealings with the registry and changes made there.

RE: System Restore

System restore doesn't delete documents? That's what i thought and i'm pretty sure i'm right.

Try searching for the documents you need via start/search and find out what location they're in if you find them? And copy them back to my documents.

As for the games. Well try going through my computer- c drive- (finding the game file there)

If you find the files there and the file is relatively big you know the game is still installed. In which case i'd try and uninstall it and reinstall again so it shows up!

Thats about all the help i can offer....i'd try undoing the last system restore first though
