O.P. multi-monitors and full screen games
ok, this is one problem that has arisen resently, i now have dual monitors for those that don't know, and when i go to run full screen games, such as flatout, or UT, the game starts ok, but then, after a few seconds, the sound disappers and i lose keyboard and mouse control, the game  continues to run, but i can't to anything, the only option is to restart the computer.

i have searched, and have googled, but couldn't find anything

Have you tried alt-tab-er-ing?

Sometimes this happens (not necessarily with multiple monitors), and randomly pressing alt+tab, alt+tab+tab etc will get the game (or at least the desktop) back.

have you tried the games without using your dual monitor program (UltraMon if remember) or with a single monitor configuration?

[Edit] i used to have UltraMon for a bit and i had no trouble playing games
