just wondering what's the maxium size allowed for avatars on this forum.

Avatars & Signatures: Large dimensions and file sizes are not allowed because they can affect the layout of forum pages. The rules for posts apply to avatars/signatures as well.

    * Maximum avatar width: 150 pixels.



Guess there is no hight limit?

no high limit but a size limit of 17kb

Correct.

However, your avatar will certainly be removed if a moderator decides that it's too high.

That applies to avatars uploaded to the board. Remote (hotlinked) avatars can be up to 100kb.

No, there's not. Height isn't as much of a problem as width, because height can't mess up the page layout, it just causes some unnecessary vertical scrolling.

No, I think that's excessive. IMO, no avatar should be much higher than this image...

(205 pixels)

so then it will be 197*205 maxium
