Messenger Plus! Live doesn't have a process running called "MPtools.exe" - infact Msgplus! Live doesn't have a process running at all. It runs in the WLM process.

some guy on Web Chat told me that there was a running process called MPtools.exe my bad

You did download from msgpluslive.net and not other sites right?

Well..
I 've downloaded it on msgpluslive.net too...
In folder "Messenger Plus", just have 3 "*.exe" files: Log Viewer, MPTools and Uninstall. I guess that there should have another file, like Plus.exe (i.e.), am I wrong???

wrong, Plus! doesnt have an executable.

I am having the same problem too. I have installed it from the proper site, followed all the instructions, and the plus menu bar simply says "software not loaded", which when clicked on says that an error occured while plus was loading.
Any further ideas anyone?

Alll of you with this problem Go to C:/Program Files/MSN Messenger and delete "riched20.dll" if its there
This is a file if you ever had smiley central, if you still currently have smiley central on un-install it.
