O.P. Game Crashing
So I have Metal Gear Solid installed on my computer but whenever I get to a certain point the game crashes, that point is in the gas hallway where you fin Hal Emmerich, it happens whether or not I watch the cutscene, the game also crashed when I die.

When It crashes it stops being full screen and goes to a window then the error report message comes up. The only other information I know is that when I first started it, it told me that it can not play in hardware mode, but will work correctly in software mode. I also tried putting it on compatibility for Windows 98/ME.

I really want to play this game again since I dont have a playstation anymore. :)

RE: Game Crashing
There is an error that remains unfixed that will crash the game during certain cutscenes (the one which did it for me was Phsycho mantis bos when the girl puts the gun to her head it would switch back to snake and then crash)

sorry no help unless you find a game save past that part of the game
