O.P. Roll Eyes  Laptop Reccomendation
Heres the thing. My grandad is going to buy me a laptop as long as I get an A* In my maths coursework and I have but he is only going to spend £700 at the most.
So I was wondering if you could recommend the best laptop for me.

It has to be :
  • Windows XP Media Center
  • 50 GB at least and 1024mb RAM.
  • 1.6GHZ at least. Thanks :cheesy:

depends what you will use it for. if for school work then space and maybe ram (and MAYBE display size) matter, if for gaming then cpu/gpu/ram if as media player then all specs but moderate, not extreme.

or you could decide by which programs you use most

I'll be using it for mostly downloading music and listening to it and for storing my pictures and videos. But I will be using it occasionally for schoolwork and stuff.

An A* in your maths coursework, ouch, it's very hard to get there, despite the answer is 'The farmer should use a circular shape'. I got this laptop I'm on now at a bargain price, in fact they have raised it buy a £100 since I brought it.

Been looking around. All of them have XP Home or Professional, can't find any with Media Center.

Best I can find is this, £749.
+ £38.00 for 1MB RAM

ACER AS5634WLMI - Very good specs, take a look.
Some others aswell.
