O.P. [Suggestion] Use Office's proofing engine during IM
Hey

Im wondering if there is any way to use Office's proofing engine during IM. Mispelled words could be underlined in red ~ lines, right clicking on a word would give suggestions, grammer, etc. Autocorrect could be supported.

And Office supports multiple dictionaries so language support wouldnt be a problem.

There used to be something like this (yet again, if you search) but i think it needed to open microsoft word and use its spelling engine whilst word was open, thus causing major lagg.

Anyway, a quick search in the Scripts DB for something along the lines of "spell checker" should get you somewhere.

There are a couple of programs out there that use the engine without having to open Office.

He meant that there are programs that use the MS Office Spell Checker in their input forms.

At least on OSX there is built-in spell checking on all input fields

Tell us some of these programs. This info may be useful to script developers.

What happened to the other thread, I gave a proper answer to the problem yet it is gone?

deAd told me that he has some methods that can sometimes work, but it isnt bug free and things like that.  Maybe one day someone will have the time to do this, but for now just sit back.
