Optical Drive - Pioneer SATA 212D D.l                                    $35
Monitor - 20" DVI WS Viewsonic 2026W                                $249
Case - R.D. Performance 600                                                $49
OS - Windows Vista Home Premium                                      $139

RE: New computer
The only thing I would change is the OS. But with specs like that, Vista shouldn't have any major difficulty in running.

The E6850 has 2 cores with 4MB L2 cache and a 1333MHz FSB and runs at 3.0GHz, the Q6600 has 4 cores with 4MB L2 cache and a 1066MHz FSB to run 2.4GHz.

That's about it. :)

Like before, I'd switch out Vista for something else.

Um, since I'm not a fan of nVidia, all I can suggest is some ATI card, but can't help much there anyway.
