I dunno, There just best branded disks to use.
No you don't have to get them from Japan.

I work for software company and we use those branded DVDs and CDs.

There highly recommend. Quite simpley best discs i've used.

lol oh ok, google showed me some verbatim discs that are made by that vaiyo company, may invest in a tub!

i got 100 spinal of taiyo yuden discs for £15

Just check for a firmware upgrade too for the drive... Completley fixed my DVD Writer with the same problem
