I went to the Saturday, it was AMAZING! Fatboy Slim DJing and the Chris Moyles Vs Judge Jules mash up was the highlight for me!

TV Liscensing Fees. Catering. Promotion. Then Record it all, all their own material, publish and present on it's channels for a few years on various shows etc. Pays off in the end, basically creating filler material for their platforms rather than buying it in.

A lot of labels pay Radio 1 to let their band play at One Big Weekend, since it is pretty good promotion.

My sister used to work at Radio 1, so she told me all about this.

You'll have seen all the advirtising around the place as well. All adds up.
