Hi,

More than 3 months ago, I had an operation on my appendix.
Since this operation, I feel dizzy. Is this a side effect of the narcosis?

ThX in advance.

Short answer: no.
The effects of the dissociative drugs commonly used in general anaesthesia today typically wear off after a few hours. Less than 0.005% of the drugs are metabolised by the body. There are no known long term side effects.
In rare cases, nitrous oxide (N2O) exposure can cause vitamin B12 deficiency, with similar symptoms to yours, which can be cured, evidently, with vitamin B12.
If your symptoms persist, you should see your doctor.

Sounds like someone eho knows what he's talking about :P

Anyways, I've made plans to see the doctor, so I'll see what he's gonna tell me.

Thanks mate (Y)

Dutch:

Nee, dat kan niet. Eet je wel gewoon goed? Ga anders even naar je huisarts :)

English:

No, that is impossible. Do you eat well? Go to your doctor :)

Ik eet niet anders dan voor de operatie, hooguit gezonder :P

I don't eat anything other than before the operation, perhaps more healthy :P
