O.P. Chat Log - Contact Names
I searched for a comment about this but didn't find it. I like that Plus encrypts chat logs, but I wish it also hashed or encrypted the contact names as well, in order to protect the privacy of the the contact.

How would you know who you were talking to?

The Chat Log Viewer would decrypt the names.

It's a lot of work for nothing. Who is going to look through your computer for people's email addresses?

The email addresses are probably stored in the registry or in folders by WLM itself, so theres no harm in it is there?

Contact names and related information are stored in the registry in binary. I found two locations:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\Messenger Plus! Live\xxx\Contacts

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1956726624-1119094565-1846952604-1918\Software\Patchou\Messenger Plus! Live\xxx\Contacts

As to whether or not this feature would be "a lot of work for nothing", many of the features in Messenger Plus! are related to privacy. This is one area where privacy is overlooked. Perhaps it's not an important issue for you, but I'm sure I'm not the only user that considers this important.
