Patchou, I assume that you'll be around the convention all weekend? A bunch of us ate already going there as well (myself, trekie, shawnz, val, sonicsam, probably more). I'll definitely be at the expo all day saturday, so the enterance to the convention centre sounds logical. Its close to everything anyway, we can just walk to wherever. Those of us who are of legal age, we can probably find somewhere else to go for after hours.
Sunday I think I will be finding some geocaches in the area. Anyone interested feel free to join, I'll have 2 GPS receivers plus my phone that I can use. Friday I'm not sure yet what I'll be doing, probably a combination of meeting up with someone else I know from the area, and be at the expo.

Whoever is going, I think we should share some phone numbers to each other in case someone gets lost. Half of the attendees already know half of everyone elses phone numbers anyway.

I'd actually disagree with that, last time we got "stuck" in the mall and didn't go anywhere.  Eaton Centre looks like any other mall, worth checking out sure, but hardly worth coming from Quebec for   Note, I'm not entirely against the idea, but I am providing warning.

The MTCC has multiple exits (a south and north side) and on the north side (this is the bigger side that faces Front Street) it can get very crowded during Fan Expo.  However, the inner lobby there has plenty of space and would work fine as a meeting place.

Another option is to meeting at CBC across the street, as there would be far less foot traffic over there, clear enterance etc.

Yet another option is to make use of Union just next door, especially meeting in the great hall by Harvey's.  That's been my standard spot for meeting people when they come to Toronto in the past and it works well.

i was gonna suggest this before i finished reading your post this is where i'm gonna be meeting sonicsam, and probably where everyone is going to end up when they first arrive in toronto
