After hearing about the soon to be forced upgrade to 9.0 (or whatever version its on now) i figured i upgrade early to wlm 9.0 but the install wont install messenger & other programs.

everytime i try to install it goes through fast but when it reaches 95-100% it starts "rolling back" everything then this error pops up:

Its saying i canceled it but i didnt. whats going on? thank you.

btw, the error code is the same for everything except photo gallery in which it says "cannot be removed, please contact support." and the error code is "hr:0x80070643"

Well i tried this little trick and first off writer wouldn't remove because it says it couldnt find the files needed to be removed:


Next, i tried forgoing uninstalling writer and downloaded the .msi's of writer and photo gallery off this page. moved to the C:\program files\windows live\*respective folders*. that didnt work:


So what i did was i installed "msicuu2.exe" from here and installed it. i used Windows Install Clean Up to remove photo gallery and writer then used the .msi's that were inside the folders still and they successfully installed/updated.

Next, all i did was go to messenger's download page and installed messenger.

now im stuck with this craphole version that i was forced to update to. hopefully theres some fixes or scripts that can make it look more like 8.5. thank you. you can close this.
