O.P. Cracked iPhone Screen
Hello folks,

Once again I call upon your knowledge and know-how. I went to a party tonight and unfortunately my iPhone screen is completely cracked. The phone still works and everything is fully functional so does anyone have any sensible suggestions?

Spec:
iPhone 3GS 16GB
Three Mobile Australia
Plan

Thanks,
Eddie

Buy a replacement screen off ebay and repair it (guides to do it are found via google), I think it voids warranty.

Send it in to Three Mobile for a repair quote?

Send it in to Apple for a repair quote?

Take this as a godsend and buy a different phone (a)?

Haha I knew you wouldn't be able to resist that last bit Sam.

Yeah I am heading into the "town" I suppose tomorrow to the Apple Store and Three Mobile to see if they are capable of fixing it, even if it costs me around 200 bucks.

Assuming that you like your iPhone, it is worth it to get it repaired. A friend of mine had hers repaired about a month ago and she said it was really good service, in terms of how long it took etc.

Unfortunately there are no Apple Stores in Perth so had to go 3rd party, and the Three store refused to take it.

So it ended up costing me $160 AUD out of the pocket to get the screen repaired, but it only had a 24 hour turnaround and it was good service none-the-less.

If it's less than two physical cracks and is still in warranty, the Apple store replace it no questions asked. If however, it is like a spider web crack you may have to pay for a replacement screen :).
