So, after Omar updated his "Map Yourself" thread (and after adding myself back since I was deleted since last time :(), I added his thread to the "Funny/original posts about/from the forum-community..." thread.

Then it struck me, there was no Plus! meeting in 2007... Or did I missed something?

Nope, there wasnt one...Haha, I threw the idea out there that there should be a Plus! Meeting in Patchou's Hometown in Summer 2008...haha, and it should be twice as big as the usual ones (y)!  But thats just me, I guess, haha...

Also Brisbane had another couple of people, like Tandy and stuff (I can't remember them all, but maybe WDZ could do an SQL search for us (a)).

Cookie, how about you come here for a meet and then I'll go to belgium (or another relatively close country) for a meet there :grin:

I just want a reason to go over for the stella factory and for chocolates :P

I live in colchester so London would be easy for me to travel to as I would need to use public transport to get there

Also money is a big factor (as I haven't got a job but looking for one at the moment) so the furthur away it is the more I would have to pay to get there

If I want to go to a theme park I can go "right next door" too. Belgium and The Netherlands have a lot of that stuff. The same with visting big cities or burning your behind on hot beach sand. That's all the same all over the world... :p

I'm not going to travel half the globe to do what I can do at home.

PS: (north) QLD would be my second choice ;)

but if I ever go to Australia, it would be for a long time, traveling across from north to south or something, dunno.... blah... dream on cookie ... maybe when I retire... by that time they probably have 4 star hotels on top of Ayers Rock and the Great Barrier Reef would just only be a nasty barrier... lol...
And possibily comming back with a shitload of didjes :p

Melbourne is awesome! 10 minutes ago is was hot and clear skys now its raining heavely and its still hot!! my drive way is flooded. and in another half and hour it will be hot and clear again :P You can call it "tropical" weather.

Oh and dont get me started on sydney :P

NF and I have never been to melbourne, have kinda wanted to go but never had the time or money.  Usually they do the first year account grad orientation for the big 4 accoutning firms down there so i should see it soon enough anyway :P

LOL,pack for everything? i have not seen 1 person in the last year go outside with a rain jacket on or an umbrella. I wear shorts and a t-shirt year round. Its good when we do get rain though,we are in a draught you have to remember ;)

broadbeach/gold coast would be way better then brisbane if you guys had a plus meet. More things to do.

What? Go the the beach?  we have that in town anyway.  And even if it is a uni day for me I can still go because I'll just have to walk up the road a little :P (or catch a train for 3 stations from work).  The city has far more options, obviously you don't know much about queensland....

brisbane is gay. It will take him 2 weeks to get from the airport. Brisbane roads are just crap. That gateway bridge is a death trap. Melb rocks! It has the best coffes in the world(apprantly, i dont like coffe). And its a really nice area.

But... we should like go to Colac, a random rural town 2 hours from melb! :D (where i live)(Im lazy... shhh)
