you can still use the /sconfig command.
if not, go to the preferences panel (plus > preferences) and select the section: instant messages , subsection: commands & tags. There you have to select Allow sound commands. In the section: General Options , subsection: sound be sure you have enalbed plus sounds while busy.

but should care because it's the same as if you call "cat" to a "car"... you say: oh well, it's only a letter, but it changes all the meaning. Also there are legal issues and each software has to be called by its name (or, at least, in a way that can't be mistaken by another program).
