I have just intalled a DivX player from http://www.divx.com on a limited user acount here is my computer info:
Limited User (Installed in my documents)
Windows XP Pro
Serivice Pack 2
Pentium 4 (3.00 GHz)
512 MB ram
(hmm it syas i have 2 prosseors wtf?)
heres the error:

i got this with icmp.dll when i curropted it. It was part of my printer. Try reinsatlling the program as it says in the error message

yeah i did liek 5 times no luck mayeb someone can give me a zip of all the correct files i the correct places

Maybe you oughta install it on an account with adminpriviledges

That is my last way out im not ganna bother the admin. Could someone give me a zip of all the files, in the program files thanks. I think it way work my problum is probably with the installer

maybe it didnt register itself in that case you need to be an admin. i may be wrong

yeah probably but someones got to think of a solution I am thinking of getting someone with a working vertions to just zip all the files that the installer makes in the program files that usaualy works for alot of programs (damn installers! I wish everything was just zip)

It's not as simple as that, even if you can get that one file it might go on to the next one it won't find..those dlls are in C:\WINDOWS\system32 (and who knows where else)..and the problem remains that you probably can't register those dlls on a non-admin account. Also it's fairly impossible to know every dll and file it installed, it's not restricted to just one folder in Program Files!

Seriously, go bother the person owning the adminaccount it's lots quicker and failproof!
