Just read your suggestion and I must say couldn't agree more. It would be very helpful if that window was there. Does Patchou have anything to say about it? Did anyone suggested it in the beta forums?

I have always been one for messenger lock being disabled by default...Ctrl+Space is one key combination to trigger IME and is largely used with people here in Taiwan when we need to type Chinese.

We get people confused about Messenger disappearing whenever they want to type Chinese too.
